RACING AT TURF PARADISE |

Turf Paradise opened its doors January 7,1956, making Valley history as the first organized
professional sports franchise in Arizona. Turf Paradise is now the 3rd largest sports attraction
in the state and holds court to one of the longest seasons of Thoroughbred racing in the country.
The Turf Paradise races show in 1200 locations in 35 different countries. Live racing begins in
October and races run daily Friday - Tuesday from approximately 12:30pm - 5:30pm and occasionally
on Wednesday. Each day, there are 9 races scheduled through May and during special promotions,
there are camel, emu and ostrich runs! Children 16 and under admitted free when accompanied
by an adult.

that handicap down. Individual lessons, as well as, two and three day programs
are available.

What do you get when you mix Frisbees and Golf? FROLF! Instead of a ball
and clubs, "Frolfers" use flying discs or Frisbees. A golf disc is thrown
from a tee area to a target hole and the object is to complete each hole
in the fewest number of throws. Play the resort's very own nine hole course
and then venture out to one of the seven Professional Disc 18-hole Disc
Golf courses in the valley. Bring your discs or rent ours for great
family fun!

access to facilities for boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, sailing,
hiking, kayaking and parasailing. We'll help you arrange a 21' sport boat rental to cruise the lake,
or a wave runner to catch some waves. Not your speed? Then rent a pontoon boat and have a picnic in
one of the many beautiful coves of the 9,966 acre lake. Lake Pleasant is only a 30 minute
trip from Carefree and the perfect place to spend a day.

Ben Avery Shooting Facility, managed and operated by the Arizona Game
and Fish Department, is the largest public operated shooting facility
in the country. Ben Avery offers amazing voice activated clay target
shooting, instruction that emphasizes understanding and skill development. Best
of all, those young cowboys in your family are welcome here. This facility
has programs suitable for all ages and offers all equipment necessary.

The name Tequila comes from the Tiquila Indians of Jalisco, who inspired the botanical
name of the cactus Agave Tequilana and is Mexico's indigenous national spirit. True
tequila is only crafted in the Tequila region of Mexico - mostly in the area surrounding
Guadalajara. Learn the cultural significance of this exotic elixir, where to find these
special tequilas locally, and a few bartending tips when using tequila on their own.
